This design features a peacock sitting on a branch surrounded by a pomegranate, butterfly and caterpillar displaying his magnificent tail feathers. This piece has been designed as an introductory piece for ladies wanting to experience Elizabethan embroidery. It is stitched in DMC stranded floss and Coton a Broder 25 threads on a linen background and uses stitches and techniques from this period.
Kit contains pattern with detailed instructions, colour photo, 55 count Kingston linen printed with designs and prepared with backing. Size of linen is approx 11x 10 inches
Gumnut Yarns “stars” silks, DMC Coton a Broder 25, YLI gold metallic, YLI #100 silk and Mill Hill beads required to work the project.

Embroidery and art have always been a large part of Maree’s life.
If unforeseen circumstances occur, the Otago Embroiderers’ Guild Inc. Wanaka School reserves the right to select tutors and classes other than those advertised and will, if time allows, advise affected class participants of the changes made.

Classes in Wanaka or Dunedin with insufficient enrolments will be canceled and class participants reallocated to one of their other choices.
