Elizabethan Swete Bag
Swete bags are small, decorative embroidered bags that were used for a variety of purposes by aristocratic men and women during the Elizabethan and Jacobean periods. Using historical references, you will design your own bag with floral motifs and coiling stems. The bag is then stitched on fine linen, using silk and metallic threads . It is completed with a long braid handle, drawstrings and other decorative features .
