Naversom - Swedish Birch Bark
Naversom (pronounced Nair-ver-sum) is a drawn thread embroidery, traditionally used in Sweden for household linens.
The small runner we will make is a sampler of the 4 main stitch techniques worked on linen with threads withdrawn to make an open mesh. Some pre class preparation of the fabric is necessary. Although usually stitched in tone on tone, I encourage you to use colour and a variety of threads.
A small charge will be made for stitch instructions
