Wessex Stitchery
Wessex Stitchery is a rich blending and layering of colour, stitch and text. The simple stitch pattern making, with a selection of colours that blend and harmonise, is worked on evenweave linen with either stranded or perle cottons or similar. The project for this class is a very useful needlebook with ten pockets. If eyesight is a problem select an 18 - 20 count, evenweave linen, adjust the size of linen to suit and work with stranded cottons, No 8 perle cottons or Appleton’s tapestry wools or similar. The choice is yours. Illustration is the Wessex Stitchery, Wanaka Maze pattern.
